The YVR School Tour Program – The Future Lands Here began its 2012 season this week. This is the fourth year that the Airport Authority has delivered this program for Grade 5 students in Metro Vancouver.
This past Saturday, community members from across Metro Vancouver came out to Sea Island to clean up Iona Beach Regional Park and to kick-off the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup in B.C. Volunteers spanned all across the beach and collected more than 800 kg (!) of debris from the shoreline.
