Dreams Take Flight to Disneyland from YVR

US Departures was a magical place at YVR this morning as a crowd of incredible kids prepared to fly to Disneyland with Air Canada as part of the Dreams Take Flight program.

Dreams Take Flight is an organization that provides the opportunity for children with social, mental and/or physical challenges to experience a one-day trip to the Magic Kingdom. Made up of Air Canada volunteers with help from sponsors and cooperation from a number of agencies, this non-profit organization flies more than 2500 kids on the trip of lifetime every October. The kids and their family spend a day at the "happiest place on Earth" and experience the thrill of air travel, many for the very first time.

There were a few special guests down at departures as well to add to the pre-flight excitement. We had a magician on hand, RCMP officers in full red serge and Canucks mascot Fin all at the gate to entertain the VIP passengers before takeoff.

Thank you to Dreams Take Flight, Air Canada, and all those who helped make today one to remember for some very special kids at YVR. For more information on Dreams Take Flight including how to get involved visit their website.
