Government of Canada Travel Kiosk at YVR to Assist Passengers

Canadians take millions of trips abroad every year, and the good news for all these globe-trotting travellers is there's a website that can answer all your questions about the process in one place. integrates the web content and services of 12 federal government departments and agencies into a single Government of Canada website designed to provide a one-stop-shop source of information for Canadians travelling and living abroad.

And for the next few months, Quarantine Officers will be on site at YVR (and YYZ and YUL) to help promote this useful too and educate travellers to help deduce the spread of infectious diseases, make informed decisions when travelling abroad and let them know what to do if they are sick after arriving home.

The kiosk is located post-security in the International Departures and is staffed by Public Health Agency of Canada Quarantine Officers every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and alternating weekend day from 9:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. They will answer your questions, guide you through using the website and help you register online. Registering will allow you to directly receive emergency notifications for the country you are visiting and have access to consular services.

The site and kiosk are useful for anybody who plans on leaving the country and is filled with information and tips on destinations, travel documents, travel health, returning to Canada, and much more. If you're flying out of YVR soon and have a chance, stop by the kiosk and say hello to the friendly Quarantine Officers, or be sure to visit the website for more information.
