Parks are the heart of any great city.
Central Park is a vast green footprint in the middle of New York. London’s Hyde Park, a deer park during its early days, has now transformed into a place to meet and relax in the middle of bustling London. And Vancouver’s very own Stanley Park is visited by 8 million people each year who walk, run, rollerblade and explore the expansive park.
All these famous parks provide their community and visitors with a place for gathering outdoors to enjoy the natural space – and we are hoping that Flight Path Park (albeit on a slightly smaller scale) will continue to play this role for the Sea Island community.
That’s why we want your ideas!
In 2013, we will be updating Flight Path Park but need your help to decide what upgrades and enhancements will take place. Send us your feedback at Community_Relations@yvr.ca or attend our open house on February 2 from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at The Spirit of Haida Gwaii: The Jade Canoe sculpture. More information will be updated on our website www.yvr.ca/flightpathpark.
Let us know what would make you, your family and friends use Flight Path Park for years to come!
