Every month we choose a new picture from those submitted to our Canada from the Air project as our Photo of the Month. For July I chose this shot from Aron Kerwer, who sent this description:
This picture was taken on the West Coast of Vancouver Island about 80km south of Kyuquot.
Aron's no-nonsense description doesn't do this incredible shot justice. The crashing waves give the image movement and the mist obscuring the mountains just beyond coast line make it seem as if something dangerous or exciting is just barely beyond our vision, an adventure awaiting. The outline of the window also frames the shot nicely and makes us feel safe from all the elements churning away just outside the aircraft.
Kyuquot is located on the Kyuquot Sound on the northwest portion of Vancouver Island.
Thanks to Aron for submitting this great photo!
Anybody who wants to submit to Canada from the Air can email entries to firstname.lastname@example.org or tweet them to @yvrairport and include the hashtag #YVRCanada and where the photo was taken. Our next round of photos is going up soon so be to sure get your pics in!
