Every month, we choose from the hundreds of submissions we've received for our Canada From The Air campaign and bestow upon one of them the distinction of Photo of the Month.
For February. we've chose this awesome shot from Grant Neilson. Grant is a pilot and he snapped this beauty soaring over beautiful Cawston in British Columbia. Cawston isn't the most well-known spot in the province, but it's nestled right between Keremeos and Osoyoos in the lovely Okanagan. Cawston is named after pioneer rancher and magistrate R.L. Cawston, and much like the rest of the region, Cawston is home to many vineyards, orchards and wineries.
The picture itself is packed with vibrant, verdant colours, punctuated by the white and red wing of the aircraft jutting into the frame. The quilted pattern of the land, askew angle and striking mountains in the distance all add to the originality and appeal of this wonderful photo of Canada from the air.
Thanks so much for submitting, Grant!
