Photo of the Month: Ulakhaktok - Canada from the Air

Riley Veldhuizen - Ulukhaktok (Holman), NT: Great view of the tiny community on the top of the Northwest Territories in October, -15C.

Every month we select one photo from the amazing pictures we are sent for our Canada from the Air gallery.

For April we have selected this beatiful shot from Riley Veldhuizen, who submitted multiple photos from the Northwest Territories.

His description: Ulukhaktok (Holman), NT: Great view of the tiny community on the top of the Northwest Territories in October, -15C.

Ulukhaktok is a tiny hamlet on Victoria Island with a population of less than 500 people and is also home to the world's northernmost golf course.

We (understandably) get a lot of shots from over The Rockies so unique locations like this from more remote areas of Canada really grab our attention. Either tweet your photo along with the location and the hashtag #YVRCanada or send them as attachments to canadafromtheair@yvr.ca
