Whether you’re travelling through YVR to a warm destination or just looking for some family fun, we’ve got ideas to help you make Spring Break happy and hassle-free.
Plan ahead. A few minutes online can save you time in-terminal. Be sure to check the status of your flight and read up on baggage restrictions on your airline’s website; while there, take advantage of online check-in, if available. And make sure you are up-to-date on the latest screening information by checking out the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority’s (CATSA) website.
Treat yourself. Whether it’s a manicure at Absolute Spa, a new golf accessory at the PGA store or a glass of wine and snack at Vino Volo, take an extra few minutes to relax and enjoy yourself at YVR. After all, this is the start of your holiday.
Fun with the family. There’s a lot to see and do with your kids at YVR. The highlight? YVR’s Observation Area, located before security so everyone can visit. New exhibits were recently installed in the area, including an interactive route map that lets visitors explore YVR’s 120-plus destinations. And don’t forget to send a free digital postcard before you take off.
Be prepared. Take a cue from the Boy Scouts, and make sure you and the family are prepared for navigating the airport during this busy travel period. This can mean longer line-ups and crowds throughout the airport, so allow for some extra time to get here. For some extra help, check out our new Airport Butler service, or learn more about YVR’s accessible facilities online.
Safe and happy travels!
