New season. New coach. New bar and grill.
The puck dropped on the 2013-14 hockey season last night, but another important opener took place today at YVR, as local boy/defenceman Jason Garrison and Canucks General Manager Mike Gillis stopped by to cut the ribbon at the new Vancouver Canucks Bar & Grill.
The 4,000 square foot full-service restaurant features distinctive Canucks décor and memorabilia, along with delicious options for every meal. Designed to recreate a club level experience at Rogers Arena, the Vancouver Canucks Sports Bar & Grill connects guests to the excitement and action of a Canucks game so you can support your hometown hockey team right up until boarding time. In fact, you can even t your fan loyalty on the road with a new Canucks accessory from among the assortment of authentic team gear for sale in the adjacent merchandise kiosk.
The brand new restaurant is located at Gate E81 in the U.S. Departures area and offers West Coast favourites, full breakfast, premium spirits, wine by the glass and beer on tap or by the bottle. The menu also includes vegetarian options and the ingredients are fresh, seasonal and many sourced locally. Open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, it's operated by HMSHost, which has been serving up great dining options at YVR for years.
We're very excited to be partnering with the Vancouver Canucks on this exciting new spot. Next time you are flying out to the U.S., grab a bite to eat and a beverage and catch the game at the Vancouver Canucks Bar & Grill. Go Canucks, Go!
