YVR will seem a little dimmer this Saturday as some of the terminal lights are switched off for Earth Hour - an annual worldwide event that encourages everyone to turn off their lights to raise awareness about power consumption and the need to take action on climate change. Millions of people around the world will switch off their lights on March 29, 2014 from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Lights in the Domestic and International terminal buildings will be turned off for one hour but don’t worry operations will not be affected.
