Filming at YVR
Media outlets wishing to film or conduct interviews on airport property require prior approval from Vancouver Airport Authority. Please contact Media Relations at 604.880.9815 or email@example.com prior to arriving at YVR with details on what you will be filming and where.
The Airport Authority is committed to open and timely communications with media, and we’ll accommodate your request wherever possible. However, access to areas occupied by our partners – airline ticket counters, shops, restaurants, government agencies, etc. – must be approved by both the Airport Authority and the business partner. Media contact information for YVR partners is listed in the Business Partner Contacts section.
The Airport Authority reserves the right to restrict access to any location for operational, safety and security reasons. Please note that the filming of pre-board security screening points is not permitted.
Want to film live at YVR? Live feeds may be permitted at the curb of the terminal buildings, depending on availability. The Airport Authority will assess requests to film live from within the terminal on a case-by-case basis. For safety reasons, running cables across the floor in the terminal buildings is not permitted.
All requests to film live at YVR require approval from the Communications Department and Parking & Ground Transportation. To obtain permission, please contact the Communications Department at 604.880.9815 as well as Ground Transportation dispatch at 604.303.4080.
All those wishing to use airport property for on-location photography or filming of feature films, TV series, documentaries, commercials or general entertainment programs require Airport Authority permission. All enquiries or requests related to commercial filming and photography should be directed to Dana Priolo at 604.276.6802 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
